How to distinguish shoe materials RB, PU, PVC, TPU, TPR, TR, EVA?

MD、EVA

First of all, what is MD: the collective name of MODEL or PHYLON, so what is PHYLON? PHYLON, commonly known as Feilong, is a material for soles. It is a mixed material made of heated and compressed EVA foam. It is characterized by light weight, good elasticity and shock resistance. Hardness is controlled by the foaming temperature.

EVA: Ethylene Vinyl Acetate-vinyl acetate fiber. Lightweight and elastic chemical synthetic material. Outsole material. Marry and sell more with RB! hehe. The price depends on how much material is used. In addition, the assembly manual fee and glue fee are about 20 yuan. It is also used in composite materials and is called foaming. The price is negligible. However, the cost of factory accounting will definitely be added.

So: MD soles must contain EVA, and MD soles are also called PHYLON soles. For example, MD=EVA+RB or EVA+RB+TPR and some shoes are RB+PU.

RB,TPU

RB: Rubber. TPU is mostly used on soles, especially running shoes. Can also be used on top accessories. The price is more expensive. TPU is divided into natural rubber and synthetic rubber. Natural rubber is mainly derived from Hevea trilobata. Synthetic rubber is synthesized by artificial synthesis methods, using different raw materials (monomers) to synthesize different types of rubber, butadiene rubber and styrene-butadiene rubber. Largest general purpose synthetic rubber. RB soles have good wear resistance, stable shrinkage, and good flexibility, but the material is heavy and are generally used for outsoles.

PU, PVC

PU: Polyurethane, a high molecular polyurethane synthetic material, PU is leather material. Too much variety. Help surface material. Sell by size, some are expensive and some are cheap! Basically not expensive! There is also a PU bottom. This is rarely used for foreign trade orders. PU is a high-density and durable material based on foam rubber. It has high density and hardness, wear resistance and good elasticity, but it has strong water absorption, is easy to break, and is easy to yellow. PU is often used in the midsole of basketball and tennis shoes or the midsole of the back palm, and can also be directly used in the outsole of casual shoes.

PVC: Polyvinylchloride, polyvinyl chloride, is a synthetic material widely used in the world today. PVC is also a leather material. Inexpensive, but there are also high-end ones. There are also PVC bottoms, cheap ones. "Rotten shoes" are often made of PVC. Most of them are cheap, oil-resistant, wear-resistant, and have good insulation performance, but poor anti-skid performance, not cold-resistant, not folding-resistant, and poor air permeability.

TPU, TPR, TR

TPU: Thermoplastic Polyurethane, thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer, is a linear polymer material. The advantage of TPU is that it has good elasticity, but the material is heavy and the shock absorption ability is poor. Commonly used in jogging, jogging, casual shoes midsole.

TPR: Thermoplastic Rubber, thermoplastic elastomer, also known as thermoplastic rubber. TPR outsole name. Different from RB, it is more fragrant. Smell it with your nose. The price is about the same as RB. Sometimes high RB5 gross, sometimes low RB5 gross. It not only has the high strength and high resilience of rubber, but also can be processed by injection molding. It has multiple characteristics such as environmental protection and non-toxicity, wide range of hardness, excellent colorability, soft touch, fatigue resistance, good temperature resistance, and superior processing performance. It can be overmolded or molded separately, but has poor wear resistance.

TR: The synthetic material of TPE and rubber has the characteristics of various appearance patterns, good hand feeling, bright color, high smoothness, high technical content, etc., and can be 100% recycled, which is an environmentally friendly shoe sole material.

Material sole identification and characteristics

Regarding the identification of PU, PVC, TPR, TR, RUBBER, etc.:

PU is the lightest and most wear-resistant. The sole made of PU material is easy to recognize and is light in the hand, and the holes on the back of the sole are round. The sole of PVC material is heavier in the hand than that of TPR. The sole of TPR material is more elastic than that of PVC. Hold the sole firmly and drop it naturally. If it can bounce up, it means that the sole of TPR PVC material is cheaper than TPR, but the quality is not good, especially in winter. It is easy to break the bottom. The PVC material sole has no injection holes, and if you smell it with your nose, it has a smell. If it is left for a long time, white things will grow. The sole surface of TR is very bright. It is harder than the general TPR sole. TR has more injection holes than TPR. The injection holes are very special.

In terms of weight: RUBBER (rubber) is the heaviest, PU and EVA are the lightest. In terms of materials: PU is expensive, EVA and TPR are moderate, and PVC is the cheapest. In terms of technology: TPR is made out of a molding, while PVC needs to be processed, and ABS is generally The material of high heels is expensive and hard.

Application: PVC is mostly used in the lining or non-weight-bearing parts, or in the manufacture of children's shoes; PU leather can be applied to the fabric of shoes or the weight-bearing parts. In terms of bags, PVC leather is more suitable. This is because the items in the bag, unlike the feet in the shoes, do not emit heat; they do not bear the weight of the individual. The difference between PU and PVC is relatively easy. From the corner, the base fabric of PU is much thicker than PVC, and there is also a difference in hand feel. PU feels softer; PVC feels harder; The smell is much lighter than that of PVC.
